UPDATE: MS Alliance of Virginia teams with Radford University PT Program

The MS Alliance and Roanoke Valley MS support groups are excited to team up with the Radford University PT program. IMAGINE a world with doctors and therapists that understand multiple sclerosis! Plan to participate so we can continue to make a difference for people living with MS in Southwest Virginia.

Second year physical therapy students from Radford University, Gina Kihnley, Demik Holloway, Kristen Vogelbein and Brittiny Wolfe along with 2 professors (both Neuro specialists), will be developing a new and exciting program.  The goal is a MS centered exercise approach with the dream of establishing a pro-bono clinic where the students and professors will learn and work alongside MSAV members to improve quality of life and raise overall awareness of MS in the physical therapy profession.  They want to help people in our underserved Southwest Virginia area to no longer be so severely underserved by establishing a robust relationship with our organization and the Radford physical therapy program and network along the way. Several of the professors have experience working with MS patients and are just overwhelmed with excitement to help be a part of our mission.
