We mentioned in our What is MS section some of the symptoms you may experience with MS. Because Multiple Sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system, it can affect one or multiple areas of the body, physically, mentally, or even emotionally. Some symptoms are obvious to others, such as difficulty walking, while others, like fatigue or cognitive issues are “invisible” to those around us. The MS Association of America (MSAA), an organization dedicated to providing resources and services to improving the lives of those with MS, has a great webpage which describes symptom management, gives comprehensive information on the many MS symptoms and also adds up-to-date knowledge on the medications that are available to treat these symptoms.
