The Mountain Empire MS Support Group: Finding Connection and Empowerment in the Tri-Cities Area

Established in August 2016, the Mountain Empire MS Support Group offers a welcoming and supportive community for individuals living with multiple sclerosis and their caregivers in Bristol, Virginia, and the surrounding tri-cities region. This group meets on the first Monday of each month and was founded with a heartfelt goal: to create a safe space where anyone affected by MS can freely express themselves, gain a deeper understanding of their condition through education, and find unwavering support.

More than just a meeting, the Mountain Empire MS Support Group aims to foster friendship, encourage open conversation, and share moments of laughter. They believe that an MS diagnosis marks a change in life, not an end, and that individuals living with MS still have immense value and can offer significant support to one another.

The group strives to balance educational opportunities with enjoyable activities, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and included. They want people to know that navigating life with MS doesn’t have to be a solitary journey – within this community, you’ll find understanding, camaraderie, and the reassurance that you are not alone in this new phase of life.
